Lansing used to have a street map for Lansing with larger letters and was much easier to look up the street that you wanted. This book was a lot more trouble.

I liked this book. Simple advice, easy to read.

I'm a new ND, just wrapping up my first year in practice, and I'll tell ya…this was such a nice check-list to peruse, and I only wish I'd had it my 4th year! It's always nice to hear it from a real ND perspective, and not some marketing guru that doesn't understand the real challenges of being a new grad trying to spread their wings. I have the great benefit of having the author as a colleague here in Maine…and believe me, the woman knows what she is talking about! Enjoy, all my fellow newbies…it gives you a nice start!

I am just startIng my ND education and I wanted a book that would give me a healthy mindset going into school. I found this book very helpful in envisioning my future practice. This is an excellent resource for holistic practitioners, particularly licensed naturopathic physicians, either just starting out or looking to improve on current business practices. Dr. McElveen's clear, concise, honest advice is invaluable. She is honest about her successes, failures, and what she has learned in her first years in practice, and offers many suggestions for improvement over her first practice blunders. I am entering my 5th year of naturopathic medicine private practice, and this is the guide I wish I had when I was starting out. I am excited to implement some of the new ideas I've gotten from this book, and look forward to maximizing my patient care and increasing income. A must-read for any licensed holistic practitioner!
