This is like a coloring book for big girls in fashion!! I'm WAY past the age of coloring in the lines but this book is sooooo fun and kinda relaxing. I color in fashion accessories and apparel, it's absolutely so cute. This coloring book is for all ages and who says that I can't color because I'm in grad school. Helps take my mind off stress and who doesn't love fashion!!!

I opened this book with high expectations, much to my disappointment. Most of the pictures just seem to be shapeless garments with no sense of style. I understand runway garments are differently styled than ordinary, but this is really bad. Not at all what I expected, I wanted beautiful clothes with facial features on the models. What I got is a far cry from that.

This is more of a fashion sketch book that can be colored. It has great designs in it but may not engage the interest of younger coloristas.

Mine came as it appeared to be scribbled in by a five year old child . It would have been a better rating other than the crappy packaging , scribbled on pages and way too young for a teen seeking some fashion design inspiration . Thumbs down

The first page i opened it to was apes in mens suits.... Im sorry but really? I dont want to color junk like that, I expected fashion and was really let down.

I find this book VERY abstract. It's edgy, modern, more fashion show clothing vs every-day wear. Which might be very pleasing to some.I wouldn't buy it again, if Id seen the inside.To describe the inside so you can judge for yourself:It includes pages that have mad-lib sort of stories. It includes two whole pages of eggs and bacon images. It has a 'make a fake profile for a model' page, like write in the models' fav song and whatever else. There's models in run-way like clown wear, there's a page to decorate and cut-out an eye mask.The shoe pages look terrible to me. I like harder lines in pictures I color. And the shoes dont represent anything I would like coloring, like a good blahnik or madden shoe.The female model pages, most of the clothing are like drapey simple dresses or drapey parachute-ish type pants. A lot of oversized shirts or blazers on the models.Some pages have just a female head, where i guess you'd focus on make-up or hair design. A couple pages with just simple watches or hats.Some pages seem to have nothing to do with fashion per se, a page of geometric lines or only flowers or only dots or check design.I liked the fashion/designer quotes throughout the book. I like the 'games' where it was something like match this image of a designers head to their name.Overall, I found this to be too abstract, too all-over the place for me. I would say it is less likely to please someone who's more into the coloring side and less into staring at run-way images.I would love to find something in between this and other silly fashion options like barbie-doll images!!

Got this for a friend in the hospital. She's a fashionable 30-something and this has helped to pass the time while she undergoes chemo for cancer. I sent it with a big pack of nice markers and colored pencils, and it was apparently a hit. Send along some nice fuzzy socks with non-slip bottoms and you've got the makings of a nice care package :-)

Such a fun book. Granddaughter loved it

The Long Walk boasts a large cast and a dive-right-in plot that is different from just about anything else I've ever read. The basic premise is that a group of 100 teenage boys enter a government-sponsored contest where they have to keep walking at 4 mph from Maine across the country nonstop until only one person is left. If you win, you get whatever you want for the rest of your life. If you lose...you die. OK, the book tries to keep this vague for a while, but come on, it's Stephen King. You'd figure this out quick.What amazes me about this book is the sheer volume of character development. I said that there are 100 boys competing, and King spends some time focusing on the deaths of well over half of them. The only thing I can immediately think of with this kind of scope is A Song of Ice and Fire, and those books had a lot more time to develop people. The main character and his immediate five or so friends also get in some good philosophical musing and emotional reflection.The only real flaw I found is that King doesn't spend a lot of time explaining why this contest takes place. Sure, there is a lot of talk about a fascist government, but most of the people in this story are as in love with the competition as people at the Superbowl, and we don't know why. But that is a minor nitpick.This is a great entry point into Stephen King, so if your curious, get it.

The Long Walk is a re-read for me that I picked back up for Book #7 of the Stephen King Challenge. It is also one of the original stories that King wrote as Richard Bachman. I found it funny in the prologue section entitled The Importance of Being Bachman, King writes that he used his secret alias for when he felt that he had a really dark story that needed to come out. Let me get this straight. King has stories inside him that are too dark and horrible to put his name on them? Wow! This I've got to read again.The story reads like a combination of the inspiration of the Hunger Games and Survivor meets the Bataan Death March and a parody of the draft for the Vietnam War. It is also the first novel that King ever wrote, predating Carrie by eight years.Ray Garrity and 98 other late-teens entrants, in the Long Walk, begin the contest in the northern tip of Presque Isle, Maine. The purpose of the The Long Walk or why anyone would want to do it is not clearly explained. As the story unfolds, we learn that the Walkers have to maintain 4 mph, stay on the road, and cannot interfere with the other Walkers progress. If any of these rules are violated, the Walker gets a warning. After 3 warnings, they are shot and killed by one of the soldiers that are shadowing them on the side of the road in a half-track. As the hours and miles pass into days and nights of hundreds of miles, we learn about the Walkers and their stories. Meanwhile, Walkers are dropping as the miles on the road unwind. How far can they push their bodies through fatigue, weather, injury, and the unraveling of the mind?While it may not sound like much of a premise, King tells an absolutely terrific tale. The characters are fantastically described and fleshed out. We feel their pain, their anxiety, their fears. The dread and fatigue ratchet up to dizzying levels and I feel that the ending is near perfect, as is the story. Stephen King wrote this novel back in 1966 as a college student, and I believe this to be his best novel he has ever written! It is the earliest "version" of "The Hunger Games" in that 100 young men under the age of 18 voluntarily compete by walking non-stop, not even breaking for sleep or restrooms stops, while maintaining a minimum speed of 4 miles per hour. If they fall under the speed or break one of the other rules, they are issued a warning. After the third warning, they are shot to death. The last boy walking will win the ultimate prize- a lifetime prize of everything his heart desires. It's the ending that has made me read this book 3 times. Once at 20, once at 30, and again in my 40's. This is a book that I can't get out of my head. It's gripping and the ending has an unexpected psychological twist that compels me to revisit the novel over and over...

No crazy lady with an axe. No murderous cars or supernatural evil. No fires started. In Stephen King's "The Long Walk," one-hundred teenagers walk at gunpoint until only one remains and wins The Prize. It's a little like the movie "Speed," but on foot and at 4mph. This goes on for days and hundreds of miles non-stop. You meet most of the 100 contestants and watch them slowly go insane and die in creative ways (One continues to walk through days of diarrhea, one tears out his own throat, one attacks the armed guards, etc). The sport of the future is sponsored by a military government we never hear about, and don't care to.Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, the first season of Walking Dead) snapped up the movie rights to "The Long Walk," but this can't possibly make a good movie. The guys make friends and talk, but the madness and the brilliance is in King's words.This is my favorite Stephen King book, and it's criminally unfamous. Most prefer King's giant monsters. Remember Stephen King wrote Shawshank and Stand By Me too.

It's a reasonably thorough introduction to the subject. This book will not suffice as a primary source of information. The authors are able to expertly integrate understandable analogies that bring these very dense subjects to life. That's a very rare skill in an IT professional.

No joke information is not correct do not waste your time! I wish I could get my money and time back. So many mistakes and incorrect information. I have never wrote a review before just never felt like, this book pushed me over the edge I am trying to save you from learning false information. Now I have to buy another book to learn the correct CCENT stuff for the test and try not to remember the stuff from this book.

great study book for beginner with good text and quizes

OMG, this book has SO many mistakes it is not even funny! The editor needs some serious schooling in how to properly edit a book. For those that are new to networking this will be a tremendous burden for you. Why? Since you may not already have a lot of networking knowledge you will tend to trust this book when it gives seemingly inconsistent answers or statements. I read this book, wrote down every mistake they made (some were really gross mathematical errors, especially in the subnetting chapters), sent my list off to the publisher and never got a response! Typical of this publisher and editor. They want to sell books and are obviously not interested in making any necessary corrections.Do not purchase this book unless you want to spend a lot of time researching the correct answers. For this exam I would always rely upon the Cisco publications, especially the ones written by Wendell Odom. His CCENT book has THE BEST explanation of how to subnet classful and classless addresses that I have ever seen! This book will only leave you scratching your head. I rated this book as a one star ONLY because I could not rate it any lower! BUY this book and use it for exam preparation ONLY AT YOUR OWN RISK!! You have been warned!!

David J. Miklowitz, PhD, is Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Semel Institute, UCLA School of Medicine, and Senior Clinical Researcher in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. He directs the Child and Adolescent Mood Disorders Program at UCLA, where he supervises psychiatry and psychology trainees and conducts research on psychosocial interventions for children and adolescents with bipolar disorders. I have always been a fan of all things Egyptian. If this book, and the entertaining tone in how it is written, had been part of History class in school, I would have gotten far better grades. Phillips writes with humor and keeps you engaged. It’s interesting to see how much an ancient civilization is based on our modern human soap opera themes. Or is it the other way around? Great informative read. I’m looking forward to other books written by him.

Very low-grade scholarship. Little understanding evidenced of the changes that happened over three thousand years. Mixing of stories from pre-dynastic times with Hellenistic ones. Absolute pronouncements of incomplete facts. It would be better to know nothing than to read this and think you know something.

This is my third book in about two days by this author and I'm still loving it. I've always been interested in ancient Egypt and its myths ever since I can remember. I read books about the subject, watch documentaries and movies and go to museums - everything more I can learn about ancient Egypt is fantastic. And I must say I learned a lot with this book. Some things were familiar to me but there's always more to learn. As always with one of these books by Martin R. Phillips, it was well-written yet not too academic and it also read very fast since it's only fifty pages long. It's just how I like it. There's no way to fit every single god or myth in something this short but I thought the author did a good job with trying to contain the important gods and myths. So yes, another highly enjoyable, interesting and quick read!

This Book was beautifully written It had tales and Egyptian Myths That I had never heard before! It also explained how the Egyptians viewed the soul!

I loved this read, Its really curious how the ancients lived in the past, one of my favorite civilizations is the Egyptians and this book was a really good read to know more about them

This book was kind of a so-so. It was funny, and the author was creative, but I was kind of confused. Which, by the way, is normal. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
