The illustrations are great, right up there with the rest of Mrs. Brett’s books. I’m more disturbed by the story, it doesn’t line up with the Bible story at all. It never talk about grandchildren being on the ark, all the animals had their rooms to be in and the whole earth was covered by water 20ft+ higher than the highest peak. The last thing is that nothing was said about the promise God made with Noah and mankind to never flood the earth. I wouldn’t recommend this book because it’s not telling the full truth about the story of Noah.

more on the images of a child (Noah's grandson), and the animals as he sees them- sleeping, awake, crowded, etc. The story is told mostly through the images, with very short narrative of 1-2 sentences per page. This was a nice baptism gift for our niece, who is not extremely religious- as it was a bible story presented in a very friendly non-preachy tone. It would be just as nice for a child who regularly attends church/ Sunday school and is familiar with the story, as they would enjoy the pictures and be able to discuss the meaning and events in more depth with their parents.

Jan Brett offers so much to children around the world. Her stories are wonderfully written, while her illustrations are works of art.On Noah's Ark is written from the perspective of Noah's grandchild. It is a creative way to really help children imagine what it may have been like on the ark with all of those animals.Just like Brett's other more well known books, such as the Mitten, this one also has the great pictures. She is a master at creating a main picture, while hiding details of whats to come around the edges.A definite favorite.[...]

Jan Brett's Artwork is ALWAYS a Feast for the eyes! My Grandaughter Loves this Book. Although it takes a few 'liberties" with The Scriptural Account, it is a springboard to introduction and discussion concerning TRUE HISTORY.

This is another lovely book by Jan Brett. The artwork is wonderful and the text is from the viewpoint of Noah's grandson. I bought this for our church library and am glad I did. I also suggest "Naamah: The Story of Noah's Wife" by Sandy Eisenberg Sasso for little girls. It stresses Naamah's job in preserving seeds and plants for use after the flood, and makes the Noah story less of a "men did the whole thing" story. Women were there too and obviously did a lot of work in saving the family and animals, too.

I started making money last year with several eBooks I had published; the money wasn't very much but it showed me that there is money to be made online if you apply yourself and commit to the belief that Yes, you can do this! I have read the first two books by the author Avery Breyer and was always impressed with her down-to-earth approach on how to handle and manage money. There are no fancy financial terminologies or difficult formulas to figure out. Just straight action tips and straightforward advice that anyone can use. The book is primarily about how to make money SEO writing and it does this very well by giving real numbers of the money the author herself is making and demonstrates the possibility of how you can make a living at this. With some hard work and organization you can turn your laptop into a money making machine. Work anywhere? Be your own boss? I'd definitely be onboard for that!

I enjoyed reading this, but that is as far as it goes with me. The author tells you what this magical secret is, which if you haven't heard of of SEO, would be. A general over view of how they did it. Not much step by step. Not much information on how to do it or do it proficiently.Then jumps into a gloss over of starting your own freelance gig. This is a great introduction and breif overview. Not a step by step guide. Your computer will not be a money making machine after only reading this book. Use your computer to Google SEO or SEO books / courses. You could probably even type SEO into Amazon and see what the top selling books are.I would not spend my money on this if I could do it over again.

What a waste of time and money. Breyer cons the reader into thinking SEO/copywriting is new. The smartest thing about the book is the title. It sure conned me into thinking this wasn't yet another 'freelance writing/how to make money" book. Her descriptions of processes are vague at best. Will not buy another from this author. Five pages on why a fast internet speed is important to do business? A more appropriate title for this book would be "How to fill 50 pages with pointless and useless information". SAVE YOUR MONEY,DONT BUY IT.

I read this author's first two books and loved them for their down-to-earth common sense and their gently encouraging tone. It's rare for an author to approach the uncomfortable subject of personal finance in such a way that excites readers instead of frightening and depressing them. So I was eager to read her latest, although I wasn't sure that I would want to review it. After all, I know a bit about personal finance (including credit scores) but I know nothing at all about on-line writing.But that's the beauty and value of Breyer's books. She assumes that you DON'T know anything and walks you through it step by step. In this case, she's teaching you the system that she's evolved for making money writing articles and web site content for companies that don't have time to do it themselves. In other words, free-lance non-fiction writing.I'm leery of get-rich-quick schemes, but I don't think this falls into that category. For one thing, this is not an opportunity that's open to everyone. In order to cash in, you must write good (i.e. grammatically correct) English and it must be standard American English. You must also be a reasonably proficient typist or it will take you so long to pound out an article that your hourly pay scale will be laughable. As this author points out, you can teach yourself good grammar and fast typing if you're motivated to do so.If I have an argument with the book it's that it glides over the research part of the system. Unless you're already an expert on the topic that the client wants you to write about, you'll have to research the subject. So your out-put will be contingent on how fast you type, but also on how fast you read and absorb knowledge and how your brain processes knowledge. Can you read an article quickly and summarize it so that you tell the important, interesting facts? Can you read several articles quickly and collate the information in them and combine it into a brief, readable summary? Are you naturally curious? Do you ENJOY learning about new things or will it be drudgery?For every writer who makes a fortune with a best-selling novel there are thousands of writers who make a living writing for newspapers, advertising agencies, trade or company magazines, or some other form of on-demand writing. Some are employees and some are free-lance. Some have an office and a parking space and benefits and some work in their pajamas. This author has discovered a new wrinkle on an old idea. The possession of a computer and internet access means that everyone has the potential to cash in on the demand for on-line content.You're the only person who knows if this is a viable choice for you. However, if you want to try it, I don't think you could do better than to start with this book.
