As a former professional pilot and now professional author, I doubly appreciate Chris Webber’s 30,000-foot overview. He divides the Bible into five logical sections:1. Creation2. Abraham to Moses3. Joshua to Judges4. Kings and Prophets5. Christ and the ChurchFirst, he outlines the overarching story of each section. Then, at the same time, he highlights how God’s original plan runs through every part of scripture. He makes it easy to see how 66 books, written over several centuries, and across many cultures, all fit together.Chris does an outstanding job of painting a clear picture of often confusing portions of the Bible. For example, in Part 2, he lays out the chronology and relationships of the Judges who ruled Israel after Joshua. Then, in Part 3, he renders the same treatment of the prophets who spoke God’s word during the time of the kings. In just a few pages, he transforms a jumble of hard to pronounce names into an understandable story of God constantly trying to reach His people.On one hand, his book does not dig into the kind of detail some scholars and theologians might relish. For example, he does not mention that 1st and 2nd Corinthians were part of a series of at least four letters Paul wrote to that problematic church.On the other hand, he does offer a high flying, panoramic view perfect for new believers. He also gives seasoned Christians a refreshing opportunity to enjoy the whole forest after years examining the bark. I thoroughly enjoyed the read, and highly recommend this book.

This is a well written book by a pleasant person. That said I was surprised that given what I assumed to be a 2016 publication date there was no "new" knowledge as compared to books I already have on passive solar, airtight houses, moisture management etc from decades ago. Don't get me wrong the information the author compiles is accurate but its basically already well known and common knowledge. So if the whole concept of building an energy efficient house is totally new to you then this book is a concise introduction to the topic. It does not however go into any technical details or building plans. I will pass this book on to someone with no knowledge of the subject matter as an introductory text.

This is a great book for anyone looking to build an energy efficient house. It's a great compliment to Green from the Ground Up and Green Home Building.

The book came in good condition and looked very nice, the old Gothel on the hardcover is a nice touch. The story itself I have mixed feelings about.The story was interesting and I was excited to know more about Gothel's past. If it wasn't attached to the Tangled story and had a different end, it would have actually been an amazing book in my opinion.I personally think they messed with the story and character in a way I didn't like. Sure you don't know MUCH about Gothel from the movie but this book made her insane and completely unattached.Everything was decent enough until it caught up to the movie part. Where these odd sister's were narrating parts of what happens in the movie but in a way also almost mocking it. I didn't like that. I would have liked to see Gothel's point of view in those moments instead of boring narration from these sisters that honestly became very annoying to me. The end just fell apart for me.

This was much more detailed and thought provoking than I had imagined!when I bought this book,I expected it to be a childs tale, but I was so wrong. It was much more complicated than i thought, but not too complicated that I couldn't keep up. It was a dark and twisted tale, which personally, I think gave it an excellent plot. But most importantly, there wasn't a dull moment. I couldn't stop reading!!! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anybody! Now, I must read more of the authors work!

Got this at 12:25 this afternoon and finish it at 4:16! I really could t put it down ! It was amazing as always. This woman is amazing at making the beginning story’s of these villains ! We meet gothal young early 20. We find her life full of sadness and darkness. It goes up to where tangled ended. It’s an amazing story. Hoping queen of hearts is next :).

Since the very first chapter I didn’t want to put this book down! I loved the outline and I loved the back story to this villain! Amazing job and I highly suggest to any reader interested in reading about the dark side of Disney!

I collect these books, I love the quality of them. My favorite part is under the outer cover! You get to see Mother Gothel as the old witch! Really cool and original

I loved this book... it was a lot darker than I thought it would be but it was really good... I was interested in finding out Gothel's story and hope we find out more about her family in the next book... Everyone at my worked loved this as well... we really enjoyed this whole series... Highly recommend the read

I have enjoyed this series more than I expected. It makes you feel more sympathy for the Disney villians than you would think. I can't wait for Serena's next book in this series.
