This map was great as long as you were in downtown Amsterdam. We stayed in Zuid which is only a 15 minute tram ride away but we weren't on the map. We relied on the free map our hotel gave us and really didn't use this one.

This was a perfect map for our visit to Amsterdam. The lamination really helped keep the map in good shape in our back backs and totes.

Disappointing. I had thought it would be laminated. Ah, well.

Great, can’t wait to use it this summer.

I bought the Diary of A Minecraft Zombie books for my Minecraft obsessed 10 year old daughter and she loves them! She quickly finished each book and I can't buy them fast enough! Would definitely recommend to anyone buying for a young (8-11 yr old) Minecraft obsessed child!

My 8 yo son is not much of a reader but loves Minecraft. I was hoping that buying these books would get him more interested in reading and not so much of a fight when it comes to his 10 min reading that he has to do nightly for school. And this book has done the trick. My son will even ask to read a little longer sometimes because he is "at a good part." lol Would highly recommend for any young reader that likes Minecraft.

I had a hard time getting my son interested in any particular book or series, but my kids love all these Zack Zombie books. They are perfect for a 3rd grade level reader. The books are fun to read, but there are some type-o that the publisher should have caught.

My son is 8 and has been reading these books since he was 7. He loves them! It’s the only way I can get him interested in reading. It sometimes feels like as soon as one comes in the mail, he’s begging me to order the next one!

My daughter loves these books. Her and I would read them together and have a good laugh. She would show me her little figures so i would know what they are & what they can do. I look forward to reading them with her. It's our fun time.

I'm an adult who doesn't understand minecraft at all!! Ha! I have 2 boys who absolutely love the game and love this series. They read them all the time and laugh about them. I love that they are reading about something that they are interested in. It has silly humor in it that my boys appreciate.

My son loves this series! He started reading them at 8 years old and he is going on 10 and still loves them.

My 6 year old grandson loves reading these books. These are his first 'real" chapter books. He loves Minecraft too.

I must say after two college degrees, this is one of the best books I've had in any course. It was very informational and up to date with current topics of interest. I learned a lot about the world. The title seems boring, thought I would hate the class but nope, turned out to be one of my favorites simply because of this book. My only complaint is the price but that is typical of textbooks. it's hard to review a piece of non-fiction under Amazon's caution of early printing, unfinished and unedited manuscripts... while fiction should have the plot, the characters fleshed out, one can overlook the typos, etc...however, a piece of non-fiction carries a certain responsibility to the reader - even in early drafts...thankfully, this book has been researched, written, annotated and fleshed out with healthy anecdotal footnotes and reference listings (unlike other pieces of tripe i've read for Amazon lately, such as the lame Ali/Malcom X amateurish work)it's a certain pleasure to read a book of this type written by a professional journalist and author - i was a little concerned about the introductory tone concerning Snowden, but the narrative was balanced and objective - a remarkable feat and quite admirable among the whorish media of todayi was grabbed by the depth of background and narrative - this author has done his work and it shows - quite commendable... i also appreciated the background material in the appendix and the lengthy listing of referenced works - a nice bibliography to explore later onyou'll get a distinct impression and background on the who, the what, the why, and the how of the NSA in this book - a great read!!!

Even if code is not your thing , the author wove a great story entwining the problems of codebreaking with events of the time .I read a book on code breaking and it was very dry, took me several years to read, this is not the case,Interesting from start to finish describes the infighting, power struggles between agencies , not sharing info, duplication of efforts.Disturbing thing is it seems very little has changed in the regard to all of the above.I used some of the machines the author described , this book will appeal to people like myself that just scratched the surface of cryptography and persons interested in history since one very seldom gets to see how events were formed from the secret side .Book is well researched and gives a clear picture of the Russian Problem as well as Korea, Vietnam and the Pueblo incident. Author does not favor any agency or individual tells it like it happened.

This is a remarkably accurate history of US signals intelligence. The only flaw was the now-mandatory cheap shot at an agency doing what it is tasked to do by the country's political leadership. Apparently people prefer to think that the US intelligence community runs rogue operations than to face the fact that more often than not they resist pressure from the White House to do things that are illegal. Still, well worth the read even for someone who has been on the inside.

It's a little tedious, I was expecting more on the technical aspects. This is all about bureaucracy and infighting.

This is an excellent and detailed chronology of communications intelligence gathering from ww2 to current times. However, like many subject focused books it helps if you have a keen interest in the subject. I worked in this area from late 50s to early 60s, so from my perspective it was fascinating and filled a lot of voids.

I don't know much about this topic, so to me all the info was interesting. However, my dad, who was in the army in the late 50s, thought Budiansky did a terrific job of explaining things--including the sad truth about how poorly the agencies worked with one another and how many times they lost opportunities to do better intelligence work. For readers who want hard facts about coding and military intelligence, this is a satisfying read.

Excellent coverage of analytic techniques in 20th century through the 1950's. Due to security restrictions increasingly sparse afterwards. The book is one of the few that acknowledges the contributions of the tens of thousands of enlisted military linguists and analysts that kept close track of Warsaw pact and asian orders of battle during the cold war. Mostly missing of course is western history on encryption methods of the US and it's allies.

I enjoyed this book...If you were in the Army Security Agency, Air Force Security Service or Naval Security Group you will too. If you ever had any doubt that our work was meaningful, you won't after you finish this book!

Not yet 1/3 through the book and am absolutely fascinated about the early cold war issues of solving the "Russian Problem" and our total blindness to the "Korean Problem" until the Korean War suddenly broke out with as much surprise to US intelligence as Pearl Harbor had at the beginning of WW2!
